Growing up in New York, photographer Zora Sicher loved exploring different neighborhoods, totally fascinated by the different types of people she encountered. “When I was younger, I always looked up to my grandma,” she says. “She is such a beauty queen — gold jewelry, crazy makeup, she did it all.” Zora constantly felt inspired to document the world around her. She has assisted some of the greats, from artist Tom Sachs to photographer Mario Sorrenti, and continues to develop her own work, balancing freelance gigs while earning her degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
“I love to shoot on film, the process is so interesting to me,” she says. “It’s exciting to be in the dark room and see what will turn out.”
