Welcome to the Milk Fam Diaries. At Milk Makeup, we believe it's not just about how you create your look; it's what you do in it that matters. We see your creativity on our feeds and hear your support in our comments daily, but we wanted to dream up an interactive way to share a few more pages from your stories. That’s how this series was born. In these diaries, we’ve created a space to have candid conversations with our community on inspiration starters, self-expression, favorite products, and so much more. Get to know the faces behind our campaigns who are as inspiring off camera as they are on. This week, we talk to Sabrina, a model who manifested this shoot over a year ago.

Meet Sabrina, the star of our recent RISE Mascara shoot. If you don't know her by name, you've definitely seen her face—lighting up the night in Times Square, on a billboard in LA, Miami, or Dallas, or smack dab at the very front of your local Sephora store. A model with a seize-the-day mentality, Sabrina embodies the Milk Makeup spirit naturally. She even manifested this shoot over a year ago! Maybe it’s the Leo in her (although she swears her quiet personality is at total odds with your classic “out there” fire signs). Still, she knows how to leave her mark and had our whole team cheering her on at the shoot.

“When I’m on set it’s like, alright, I can tell she’s a Leo,” she says. “I be killing it!”

Born and raised in Brooklyn, she now lives in LA, where she takes full advantage of her balcony to read on sunny days.

How would you describe your personal style?

Comfortable, cute, cool.

What type of clothing do you normally wear?

Loose, but fashionable and comfy.

How would you describe your approach to beauty?

Very natural but with a glow.

If you could only use one Milk product for the rest of your life what would it be?

The KUSH Clear Brow Gel. I brush up to get those fluffy brows. I was saying I love a clear gel mascara, and Sara Wren (Milk Makeup Director of Artistry) told me I can use it as a clear mascara too. ‘Cause I got eyelashes! But when they’re naked you can’t really tell, so just to add a little oomph.

What album or song is currently on repeat for you?

“Autumn Leaves” ft. Kendrick Lamar and the Donda album.

What is your go-to makeup look?

Natural. I don't really wear makeup on an everyday basis. Concealer around the eyes and mouth, and just brush my brows, curl the lashes. Easy. And brow gel.

What is your ideal perfect day?

Spending time with my dog, in nature. His name’s Kyro, and he’s a husky. He’s two handfuls! I walk him three times a day and a bike ride, daily. He’s so cute. So I start the day taking him for a walk, then coffee, stretching, meditating, reading on my balcony. I have a little hammock up there. It’s a vibe.

What's a good book to read on your balcony?

The Outliers.

What's your favorite hobby?

Baking. During the pandemic I started baking a lot. I’ve also been doing yoga since 2016 and hiking! I like being in nature. It doesn’t even have to be a difficult hike or anything crazy, but being out there and seeing all of these scenic views and feeling the fresh air.

What’s a show you can rewatch and never get sick of?

New Girl

Who’s your favorite character?

Jess. She’s hilarious. They’re all hilarious, but she’s a relatable mess.

What were your first impressions when you tried RISE Mascara?

So I have the KUSH Mascara and every time I use it I love it and how dramatic it is, but it’s not my everyday mascara. RISE Mascara is. It’s an everyday mascara for sure, and it’s part of my routine now. It’s very light. It's not thick or clumpy, and it doesn't run around your eyes. And it’s voluminous. It’s a natural volume that just defines your eyelashes. I look for lengthening and separating in a mascara, and RISE gave me that.

Anything else you want to add?

I love Milk Makeup, you’re all amazing! And yes, I actually manifested this job. I wrote this in my journal a year or two ago: “I’m gonna work with Milk, I’m gonna do a shoot with them.”
