21 Spring Makeup Looks You're Gonna Want to Copy

Our favorite season for makeup, TBH.

The weather’s getting warmer, the pollen is flying, and sundress skirts are flipping in the breeze. Spring is here and now’s the time to experiment with spring makeup looks in celebration of the occasion.

Luckily, you don’t have to go far to find inspiration. Just keep scrolling—we scoured social media (and selfies from our staff here at Milk HQ) for the coolest spring makeup looks to keep you busy this season and beyond. Because let’s be real—blended-out pastels, florals, and punches of bright color on your face are also right at home during the summer months, too.

Check out these 21 looks to pull from for the next time you sit down at your vanity.

You're a Doll

The makeup Pat McGrath dreamed up for the Maison Margiela Spring 2024 show launched a million recreations on social media. @miruna_zein's interpretation is especially gorgeous. If you want a similar look sans the production of creating that mask-like glossy base, Hydro Grip Primer can give you a toned-down verion of that. The skin is still dewy as opposed to plastic-looking. You can use Sculpt Stick to carve out those sharp, high cheekbones and Color Chalk to get that soft, shimmery eyeshadow look.

Blooming Pinks

@lanayanette’s vibrant pink look is spot on for spring. They started with Hydro Grip Primer to get a perfect, just-bloomed dewy base. They then took a bright pink eyeshadow and blended it down into a red-toned hot pink blush (pro tip: spray some Hydro Grip Set + Refresh on your eyeshadow brush to get an extra kick of pigment!) They finished the look off with a matching lip color to tie it all together.

Neutral Matte + Pearls

Matte skin is back in a big way, and it’s not just for the oily folks. @marvels.makeup’s soft-focus complexion anchors this neutral look, which includes sculpted skin (courtesy of our Sculpt Stickin Toasted) and a smoky eyethat is soft and diffused at the lids but more intense on the lower lash line. A few pearls placed just above her crease elevates the look.

For her lips, she chose a rosy matte brown shade, but you can make your lip look more intense by lining them then filling them in with our Infinity Long Wear Eyeliner in Limitless.

Soft Pink Shadow

Soft pinks and a shot of shimmery lavender combine together in this look that is springtime perfection. Against the wash of color over her lids, @_thelindsayeadded a thick, black winged liner and some long, wispy doll-like lashes to enhance that otherworldly effect.

To bring depth and dimension to her face, she used our Sculpt Stick in Simmer, then our Lip + Cheekin Enigma to bring a gorgeous rosy tone to her cheeks.

Inner Corner Color

Adding a neon shadow to the inner corners of the eye is a simple way to elevate any look. @theonlyprudencestarted off with Hydro Grip Primerto create a lightweight base that’ll last all day. If you don’t have any neon orange pigments in your stash, you can sub in any one of our Color Chalks to get a similar effect and bring some playfulness to your look.

Retro florals

The Flower Power era called. They were gonna ask for their signature motif back, but after seeing @lexilamakeup’s recreation, they decided to let her rock.

The creator leveled up her eyeliner, painting these tiny retro flowers all around her eyes. They add a playfulness to the sharp, black feline liner she drew on. For her cheeks, she reached for our Lip + Cheek in Swerve, a terracotta hue that beautifully plays off the retro theme.

Subtle Shimmer

Here’s your reminder to never be afraid to play with color. @kxpngworked with a rich purple, powdery blue, and metallic coppery hue to put this look together. For a something like this, your base has to be on point, so Kari was sure to conceal with our Future Fluid All Over Cream Concealerin 9N for a cake-proof finish.

Green Rims

Milk Paper Blog contributor Devon Abelman used Color Chalk in Green Light to line all around her eyes. The shimmery hue plays on the fresh, lush, green vibes that come with spring. She added a flush of coral to her cheeks using our Bionic Blushin Teleport.

Bronze and Black Winged Liner

Editorial Manager Jihan Forbes created this simple wing starting with Infinity Linerin Outer Space. Then, with a wet angled liner brush, she went over the wing with Color Chalk in Kickball. The black base allows the bronze to stand out more against her skin tone. Towards the point of the wing, she filled in the center, letting a little bit of the black base peek through as an outline. Then, she swiped some KUSH Mascarathrough her lashes.

Her sculpted base comes courtesy of our Sculpt Stick in Sizzle and Matte Bronzerin Blitzed. She finished with some brown liner and a little Electric Glossy Lip Plumperin Pumped.

Mermaid Eyeliner

@nessachavez_upgraded her neutral cut crease eyeshadow with mermaid scale-blue liner. The shimmery aqua hue adds just the right amount of color to the look. To make sure all the focus is on the eyes, she kept the base light. OurKUSH Brow gelset her brow shape in place.

Yellow Mood

A smoky brown cut crease + bright yellow lids? Gorgeous. The juxtaposition of the moody crease and the cheerful yellow shadow provide the perfect balance to this eye look. @lilyeastonnadded some extra intensity with sharp winged eyeliner.

Our Matte Bronzer in Baked brings warmth to her complexion and Bionic Blush in Infinity, a dusty rose, lends color to her complexion.

Packing On Pastels

Powder-pink lids and a pastel green waterline look just divine on @looks.by.lottie, who brought this beat up several notches with the inclusion of tiny little painted-on flowers sprinkled around her eyes.

To ensure the makeup underneath those flowers stayed put, Charlotte used our Future Fluid All Over Cream Concealer in 2C. If you don’t have matte pastels on hand, our Color Chalks in Dodge Ball, Skip it, Hula Hoop, and Tag can give you a similar effect, but with shimmer.

Stenciled Stars

Milk Makeup designer Taylor Mew loves a star motif and got inspired by a look from creator@stxph.h. Using a star-shaped pimple patch as a stencil, Taylor combined our Color Chalks in Bounce and Dodge Ball to create that starry gradient on her lids. She lined her eyes with our Infinity Liner in Limitless for a soft touch of definition.

Pops of Pink

It’s time to add some bright colors back into your routine. Start with pink—or, if you’re@catalinahotin, the packaging for our Electric Glossy Lip Plumper.

The focus here is the eyes, and Catalina started with a splash of shimmer, using our Color Chalks in Hula hoop and Skip It. She defined her lashes with our volumizing KUSH Mascara so they could stand out against the neon pink lightning bolts she painted on either side of her face.

Our Lip + Cheek in Werk and Swish brought more pink to her cheeks. A swipe of Electric Glossy Lip Plumper in Charged over a mauvey lip color completes the look.

Soft Glam

Can’t go wrong with a soft glam beat, as@danielacoronademonstrates here. Hers has that blurred, matte finish that’s trending right now. Daniela used ourPore Eclipse Mattifying Primerto make sure her makeup stays in place and give her base that soft-focus effect.

Neutral eyeshadow, wispy lashes, blush, bronzer, and a nude glossy lip completes the look. Daniela sprayed on ourPore Eclipse Matte Setting Sprayfor an added layer of shine-controlling, soft-focus hold.

Naturally Bronze

A natural base and bronzer in the right places is a simple, polished look that’s great year round.@_carobaeee_used our Matte Bronzer in Baked to achieve this look.

Fresh Face

In case you haven’t been convinced yet, washes of pastels across the lid elevated by flowers, rhinestones, pearls, or whatever you can get your hands on, is a simple way to make your spring looks more artistic and exciting.

Take cues from@glambycarly, who painted white daisies to the outer corners of her eyes and added two tiny gems just under the inner part of her brows to uplift this pastel green shadow.

As for the rest of her face, it’s held on with our Hydro Grip Primer, which also gives her a dewy glow. On her cheeks, a mix of Bionic Blush in Teleport andBionic Bronzerin Time Travel.RISE Mascaragives her lashes a lifted, lengthened look. She topped it off with our Electric Glossy Lip Plumper in Buzzed.

Lavender Haze

Hello, festival makeup inspo. This duochrome purple eyeshadow is soft and intense at the same time. The placement of the extra shimmery purples have an extra dreamy effect that’s just perfect for an outdoor concert.

To make sure a look like this lasts all day, start your beat with Hydro Grip Primer as @ajbelartedid here. Then, build a similar eye look with our Color Chalk in Hula Hoop, Dodge Ball, and Bounce. You can also highlight the tip of your nose with any of those options.

Draw a cat eye with our Infinity Long Wear Eyeliner, and finish by coating your lashes with our volumizing KUSH Mascara. Swipe our Lip + Cheek in rally over your cheeks and lips, then set it all with our Hydro Grip Set + Refresh Spray.

Rosy All Over

Let your makeup match the roses as @kimberlyellexdoes here. She started by refining her complexion with a little foundation and our Future Fluid concealer in 6C. You can recreate this look with our Color Chalks in Bounce, Dodge Ball, and Hula Hoop on your lids, drawing a wing with our Infinity liner, then swiping a little Lip + Cheek in Quirk.

Baby Blue Shadow

We love how the softness of the baby blue shadow our content creator Iley Cao is juxtaposed with that jet-black, sharp winged liner. Iley used a metallic baby blue shadow with our Color Chalk in tag to achieve this look. To finish, they applied Electric Glossy Lip Plumper in Wired.

Graphic Winged Liner

Director of Artistry Sara Wren used our Infinity Liner in Time to create the thick cobalt blue wing concentrated on the outer corners of her eyes. A swipe of liner framing the inner lids lend an extra edge to this easily-executed look.
