Meet KUSH Brow Lamination Gel: The Key to Sleek + Lifted Brows

Cancel your brow appointment.

We are living in the age of brushed-up, laid-down brows. And brow lamination gel is the key to getting the look—without having to book a salon appointment.

“A laminated brow look is all about maximum style that makes your eyebrows appear fuller,” says Milk Makeup Director of Artistry Sara Wren. “Imagine it as a brow hair lift or perm that elongates and helps brow hairs stay in place.”

Typically, brow lamination is done in a salon by a professional with chemicals that make your eyebrow hairs lay flat and straight up. Results last up to eight weeks. But if you don’t want the look for that long, or you don’t want to shell out the funds, you can get a similar effect at home with a brow lamination gel. And lucky you, we just launched one.

Meet KUSH Brow Lamination Gel. It’s a clear eyebrow gel that lifts, shapes, and sets your brows for a brushed-up effect that lasts up to 8 hours. Read on to learn all about it so you can get the laminated look of your dreams and kiss your brow envy goodbye once and for all.

What is brow lamination gel?

Brow lamination gel can help you quickly get that permed, feathery look. It’s designed to smooth and set your brows so they look brushed-up with a glossy finish. Its consistency is meant to have a bit of a stronger hold than regular brow gels, since the goal here is to get that bold brow effect.

How do I get a laminated brow look?

KUSH Brow Lamination Gel’s formula and design make it easy to achieve those brushed-up brows. It's got a crucial element: a good applicator. Its dual-sided Brow Lift Brush has long bristles on one side to evenly coat and lift brow hairs and shorter bristles on the other to define and set them in place. It's designed to make sure each and every brow hair is coated with gel.

How does KUSH Brow Lamination Gel work?

Like all our other KUSH products, it’s made with hemp-derived cannabis seed oil to condition your hairs for healthier-looking, softer brows—like a conditioning hair mask and lamination gel in one.

What’s the difference between KUSH Brow Lamination Gel and KUSH Clear Brow Gel?

These two clear brow gels have two very different finishes. If you want a soft, natural-looking brow, KUSH Clear Brow Gel is your best bet. But if you want a sleek, lifted, and defined look, you need KUSH Brow Lamination Gel. No matter what you’re feeling, both formulas are flake-free, clump-free, residue-free, and made with hemp-derived cannabis seed oil so your brows feel softer and look healthier.

How to Use KUSH Brow Lamination Gel:

Prep your skin.

First things first: You always wanna make sure your skin is cleansed, moisturized, and primed before you do your brows. If you’re not filling in your brows with color, apply the gel directly to them at the start of your routine. If you do go in with a pencil or powder pigment, make sure you use it first then wait a minute for it to set before adding lamination gel. If you use a liquid brow pen, Sara says, use the gel first then go in and draw those little hair strokes.

Coat and lift.

Use the longer bristles on the dual-sided brush to coat your brows with product in the direction of hair growth. You don’t need to go overboard—it’s better to start with a small amount and then build up.

“For ultimate hold and lift, take the longer bristle side, starting at the tail, and completely backcomb the brows. Then style them from the front of the brow to the tail,” Sara says. “This ensures all the brow hairs are coated and held in the laminated style all day.”

Define and set.

Now that your brows are all coated, it’s time to shape them. Use the shorter bristles on the brush to define, then gently press down to set them in place. No need to re-apply throughout the day—once you’ve set your brows, they’ll stay put without any stiffness, residue, or flaking.

Now it’s your turn to try; grab our new KUSH Brow Lamination Gel and see how it works for yourself.
