Our Best Tubing Mascara Delivers a Hit of Definition + Natural Volume

Are you ready to roll?

Our fan-favorite KUSH Mascara family has another big hit on its hands. Milk Makeup’s best tubing mascara has arrived with an amped-up formula unlike any other tubing mascara you’ve used before.

The brand-new KUSH High Roll Mascara wraps lashes in water-resistant, smudge-proof pigment that rolls right off with warm water at the end of the day. Our clean tubing formula truly takes removing mascara from an eye-irritating chore to a super-satisfying, ultra-easy experience.

Ahead, find out what exactly tubing mascara is, how KUSH High Roll Mascara reinvents the classic tubing mascara formula, and how it differs from our OG KUSH Mascara.

What is tubing mascara?

Classic tubing mascaras encapsulate lashes in long-wearing pigment that touts a subtle lengthening effect and easy removal. KUSH High Roll Mascara does all that and then some with its clean tubing mascara formula. It’s like getting instant liquid lash extensions.

As you comb High Roll through your lashes, it instantly adds major definition, natural volume, and length with the blackest of black pigments that won’t clump, smudge, or flake. You can sweat, cry, and get caught in the rain and your lashes will still pack definition and luscious length for up to 24 hours. “Tubing formulas are water-resistant and amazing at holding a curl,” says Milk Makeup’s Director of Artistry Sara Wren. “Typically, they have a more natural effect, but KUSH High Roll Mascara makes your lashes as bad as they wanna be.”

When the time comes to remove KUSH High Roll Mascara, it easily slides off lashes in tiny tubes when you hit it with warm water.

KUSH High Roll Mascara is an incredible alternative to waterproof mascaras and traditional tubing mascaras, which often contain alcohol, Sara says. “This alcohol-free formula also stays on without the damaging effects of waterproof mascaras,” she adds.

Is tubing mascara better for your lashes?

KUSH High Roll Mascara is less harsh on lashes than regular mascaras and other tubing mascara formulas on the market alike.

Unlike traditional mascara formulas, you don’t have to scrub off our tubing mascara with a whole lineup of makeup remover, oil cleanser, and face wash. Instead, the tubes roll right off with warm water—no tugging or pulling on the delicate skin around your eyes.

KUSH High Roll Mascara is also infused with nourishing ingredients like conditioning hemp seed oil, so it’s incredibly gentle on lashes and helps them feel softer. Our clean tubing mascara is eye-friendly, too. It was tested by ophthalmologists and deemed safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

How does tubing mascara work?

As you brush KUSH High Roll Mascara through your lashes from root to tip, its special wand combs and separates every lash with staggered short and long bristles. In the process, lashes are coated in pitch-black pigment and give natural volume, definition, and length that stays smudge-proof for up to 24 hours.

Anyone looking for a long-wearing mascara that gives lashes some finesse and holds a curl all day long is sure to fall in love with KUSH High Roll Mascara, Sara says. Unlike other tubing mascaras in the game, KUSH High Roll has volume that looks natural. Just keep in mind: You need to layer it on quickly, as Sara points out. “This formula dries quickly to form the tubes, so once it’s on and dry, you can no longer layer it,” she adds. “Work one eye at a time for the best results.”

For tubing mascara removal, all you have to do is soak your lashes in warm water for 30 seconds (with or without a reusable cotton pad), then gently massage them with your fingers until the mascara rolls off every lash. That’s it—no tugging or pulling needed. Revolutionary, right? We call it our High Roll Tubing Technology.

Is tubing mascara alcohol-free?

Traditional tubing mascaras are often spiked with alcohol to help the formula dry down faster. Alcohol can make your lashes feel parched and brittle. Tubing mascaras made with alcohol tend to make lashes feel stiff and crunchy, too. (No, thank you.) KUSH High Roll Mascara is alcohol-free but still quick-drying. You don’t have to worry about sneezing or blinking after application and creating raccoon eyes.

It’s also cruelty-free and paraben-free. The formula even features creamy vegan waxes and a combo of nourishing hemp seed, castor, and sunflower seed oils to condition and care for your lashes while you wear it. No matter how many coats you layer on, your lashes will also stay soft, never stiff. “As long as you are working while the formula is wet, the limit [of coats you can add] does not exist,” Sara says. “But to avoid clumpy, heavy lashes, I would say between one and five coats is plenty.”

How is KUSH High Roll Mascara different from OG KUSH Mascara?

Although both KUSH Mascaras are infused with nourishing hemp seed oil to keep your lashes soft, strong, and healthy, they each bring different effects to lashes.

OG KUSH Mascara creates major buildable volume with the help of thickening fibers. It also has a tapered XXL-sized wand, which packs on lash-plumping pigment in an intense black hue. OG KUSH Mascara isn’t waterproof, but KUSH Waterproof Mascara is!

KUSH High Roll Mascara, on the other hand, brings natural volume to lashes plus length and definition with its one-of-a-kind tubing formula that’s sweatproof and water-resistant. Its wand is spoked with staggered bristles that effortlessly lift and separate lashes.

Now that you’ve met our best tubing mascara, it's time to roll! Try it for yourself + see why it's a game-changer for your lashes.
