At Milk Makeup, community and self-expression is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to celebrate the beauty that’s inherent in every individual, fuel self-expression, and give our community the tools to live their truth. Our commitment is to do this with every individual in our community, both within our team and with our global Milk Fam. From our launches to our campaigns to our community experience, we want everyone to feel welcome.

To do that, we have to tap into our collective creativity and innovation, and we know that creativity and innovation can only thrive when people feel safe, seen, and valued.

Even with shared definitions, DEI can be embodied in endless different ways at different organizations. Here’s what we envision each principle to look and feel like to us at Milk Makeup.

Diversity: Representing the Full Spectrum of Beauty
At Milk, we make space for both visible and invisible differences to feel safe and valued. We strive for true representation throughout every level, team, and part of our brand. That representation includes race, gender, gender expression, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, age, national origin, physical appearance, socioeconomic backgrounds, physical and mental health, and a wide spectrum of other identity factors. Across all these different backgrounds, lived experiences, and views, we’re united by shared values and a belief in Milk Makeup’s mission, as well as a rejection of hatred, intolerance, and bigotry.

Inclusion: Bringing #LiveYourLook to Life
We know that everyone’s “walk to work” is different. This means that each of us carries our own unique experiences, traumas, and backgrounds with us into the office. At the same time, it’s only possible to do your best work in an environment where you feel seen and safe.

While Milk can’t change the reality of everyone’s “walk to work,” we can make sure that when the team is here, there’s always an experience of belonging that enables creativity, success, and a clear process to getting support wherever it’s needed.
