Milk Makeup is celebrating Spooky Season and our best-selling range of Hydro Grip/Hydro Ungrip products with Hydroween. For the occasion, we’re bringing Halloween Makeup inspiration, created with your favorite Milk products—courtesy of some talented members of our Milk Fam.
New York City-based beauty creator Lexus Perez (@lexusmperezz) is up to share her take on a disco ball.
Lexus Perez aka @lexusmperezz is a makeup artist known for her lip combos, which she refers to as “lippies” on TikTok, but for Halloween, it’s all about the eyes. And we’re seeing a lot of bling all over our fyp this year.
Nothing says “party” like a disco ball, and if your calendar is already full this season, you might not want to think too hard about your outfit. Be the party by transforming yourself into a disco ball for Halloween.
If painstakingly gluing tiny mirrored squares to your entire face isn’t quite your vibe, Lexus’s take on the costume should be right up your alley—she created a groovy-glam look just for Milk Paper and dropped the whole disco queen tutorial. Consider this a fun way to bring a Studio 54 touch to your Halloween costume.
1. Prep + PrimeBefore you start, be sure your makeup has something to stick to. This is the perfect chance to try out our new Hydro Grip + Glow Primer. The glowy base will help get that holographic highlight makeup look that’s ideal for this glam makeup tutorial. If you’re sticking with the basics, start with one of our best sellers, Hydro Grip Primer, to clean, moisturized skin. Our award-winning formula locks it all in for up to 12 hours and leaves a dewy finish. Lexus begins the grwm with her base already done. She then swipes some of our Hydro Grip Eye Primer onto her lids to help prepare a long-wearing base for the shadows. |
2. ShadowNow, you’ll want to grab Color Chalk in Trampoline and Freeze. Coat a flat, densely-packed eye shadow brush with Trampoline before applying it to your crease. Lexus crafts a winged shape with the same pigment and brushes it along her lower lash line. Go over your work with a layer of Freeze to complete your silver glitter makeup, then blend everything out with a fluffy shadow brush. Now, grab your Color Chalks in Jump, Skip It, Green Light, and Bounce to create a sparkly, shimmer effect—just like a disco mirror ball. You’ll do so by creating an ombre rainbow liner of sorts for your glitter eyeshadow. First, dip the flat brush into Skip It, and pack it onto the innermost part of your lash line. Then, continue along your lash line with the makeup brush—alternating colors in ROYGBIV order—with small sections of each to build the base for the eye look.

3. Liner + Lashes + BlingThis look calls for winged liner, a task which our Infinity Long Wear Eyeliner in Outer Space is up for. Its formula includes avocado oil, which makes it smoothly glide on. Smoke out the lines you create with the smudger tip on the other end of the pencil. Then, swipe on our volumizing KUSH Mascara to give your lashes a little drama. It’s time to add some bling to your eye makeup. Yeah, glitter makeup is cool and all—but you'll need some self-adhesive silver rhinestones for this step. Place a sprinkling of them above and below your brows, as well as on your cheekbones for the sequin effect. Don’t forget a couple near the inner corners of your eyes, too. Quick Tip: Peel the rhinestones off the paper and stick them to your face with a pair of tweezers for easy placement. |

4. LipsNow for the signature Lexus touch. To match the metallic sheen on the lids, buff Color Chalk in Skip It along the edges of your lips with a fluffy brush. Then, swipe on Electric Glossy Lip Plumper in Lola for extra shine in your lip gloss.

5. SetLast, but not least, spritz some Hydro Grip Set + Refresh Spray all over your face to lock in all your gorgeously retro handiwork. It’s alcohol-free, cruelty-free, and packed with ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to hydrate your face while keeping your makeup in place. There you have it! Your disco ball makeup is done. Now, all you need is a pair of bell bottoms and a sequined halter top, and you’re ready to boogie through whatever Halloween has in store for you. |
