No fuss. No frills. Just the stuff you really need. New Yorkers know the bodega (a.k.a. the corner store) as the place to get all the basics. Toothpaste. Eye drops. Dollar water—anything essential to your personal maintenance and well-being. This spirit of utility and self-care is at the heart of our newest collab: Milk Makeup x Awake NY.

Inspired by Awake NY founder Angelo Baque’s NYC upbringing, this latest drop includes three personal care essentials everyone should have on them: hand cream, body butter, and lip balm. The “NYC Summer Survival Kit,” as Angelo calls it. Each is made with at least 90% natural, seriously skin-loving ingredients to elevate these bodega basics. Bonus: We also made some limited edition merch—like Awake NY’s cult fave lanyards and utility bags—to carry ’em in, too.

“These products help tell a story that relates to so many New Yorkers,” says the Queens native. “I remember leaving my house first thing in the morning and putting all my essentials in a single bag because I’d never know where I’d end up throughout the day.” Consider this the souped-up version of that go bag.

“New York is synonymous with both Awake NY and Milk Makeup. Angelo and I both have a shared love for New York City,” says Milk Makeup cofounder Madzack Rassi. “The products we chose are NYC essentials, something that people need and use in their daily lives. We have all endured so much over the past few years, which is why we wanted to celebrate health and wellness in our city with our people.”

And we want to share that spirit of health and wellness with everyone, too.

Here’s what’s in the lineup: First, the Body Butter stick, made with shea, cocoa, and mango butters to nourish skin and lock in moisture. There’s the Hand Cream, a fast-absorbing lotion that cares for your skin with cocoa butter, squalane, and sunflower oil. The Lip Balm contains super moisturizing jojoba, avocado, and sunflower oils and comes with a bonus sleeve to stash it in. We also dropped a Lanyard with a clip at the end—perfect for attaching your lip balm, keys, anything you need to keep close to you.

Can’t decide what you want? We put together three sets to make it easy for you: The Lanyard Set ($30), which comes with the lanyard, lip balm, and sleeve. The Basics Set ($68) includes the lip balm and sleeve, hand cream, and body butter. Want a little extra? Nab The Works Set ($98). It includes everything that’s in The Basics set, plus the lanyard and a utility bag to carry everything in.

Get 'em while they're hot.
