You know what we don’t talk about enough? Coral lips. Nudes, reds, pinks, and mauves seem to be among most people’s go-to shades. But if you ask us, coral hues too often get left out of the conversation. That warm, soft, orangey-peach brings life to our lips in a way we love, and you know what? It’s time to make the coral the main character.

Whether it’s already one of your fave lip colors, or you’re completely new to the shade, our Lip + Cheek in Perk is the coral hue you definitely need in your collection. This particular shade of our internet-famous creamy blush and lip color has a slightly shimmery finish and complements a wide range of skin tones. Don’t believe us? We put Perk to the test, creating coral-colored lip combos to inspire you on how to wear yours. See how five of our Milk Makeup staffers incorporate it into their makeup routines.

1. Natural Coral

"Perk is similar to my natural lip color, so I mainly use it to enhance that on days when I don't want a super bold lip. I like to pair it with a clear gloss over top—it’s the perfect combination. Bonus: the stick is small enough to throw into my purse (with plenty of room to spare) for touch-ups throughout the day."

2. Glossy Coral

“I made this coral lip look using Perk as a base after lining my lips with KUSH Brow Shadow Stick in the shade Grind. I topped it off with Odyssey Lip Oil Gloss in Explore, another shimmery coral hue that matches perfectly. I love how Perk amplifies the semi-sheer color of the gloss and how this look brings out the peachy tones in my skin. It’s super cute for the summer.”

3. Coral Jelly Lips

“I want my lips and cheeks to match, so before I go in with Perk on my lips, I apply a bit to my cheeks, blending it out with a brush. Now, I’m ready for my lips, which I lightly line before swiping on Perk. Next, I use Cooling Water Jelly Tint in the coral shade Spritz just in the center to bump up the color. I finish with KUSH Lip Oil in Dream Machine, which has a very sheer mauve tint that doesn’t overwhelm the coral hues I just used.“

4. Cheery Coral

“Like its name, Perk always puts me in a good mood. I like to keep my look as straightforward as possible, and lean into what a great color it really is. I wear mine with light foundation and a bit of subtle contour (I like to use Sculpt Stick in Toasted for this). I swipe Perk on my lips, and then make it extra shiny by pairing it with Odyssey in Journey, a true clear gloss.”

5. Boosted Coral

“Perk always surprises me. Corals tend to skew more orange on me, but Perk has a peachy quality to it that makes it easier for me to work with. For my lip combo, I started with Jelly Tint in Spritz, which I laid as a long-lasting coral base stain to amplify Perk and make it look a little richer against my skin tone. I lined my lips with a brown liner, then swiped Perk directly on my lips. What I love most about this combo is how the orange tones of Spritz are still peeking through the peachier tones in Perk.”
