At Milk Makeup, we’ve always believed it’s not just how you create your look; it’s what you do in it that matters. That’s what our mantra Live Your Look stands for: a fearless pursuit to live your truth and the freedom to do what fuels you.
And there’s no better way for us to show what that looks like than teaming up with Nike for the After Dark Tour in Los Angeles.
For this one-of-a-kind night race, more than 15,000 women showed up to fuse sport and self expression—and Live Their Look every step of the way, right up to the finish line (and to the legendary post-race concert beyond). You may have spotted some of your favorites during the race—like Hydro Grip and Jelly Tint.
That’s because we were on-site and proud to sponsor a team of runners who crushed all 13.1 miles. (Shoutout to our team of Milk Makeup x Nike runners: Josefina, Jennifer, Jen, Schae, Danielle, Yasmin, Noodz, Jjanga, Kolbi, Maggie, Karen, Christine D, and Christine O).
Ahead of the half marathon, we asked our team and some of their fellow runners what kept them going to make it to this moment. The result: a wall filled from top to bottom with motivational words, with answers ranging from “I matter” to “it's a privilege to move our bodies” to “I get to represent for big girls in the running space.”
One thing was clear: Everyone came to Live Their Look and support others doing the same.
The race ran long, the night ran longer, but the makeup easily lasted through it all.
