Live Your Look: Bianca Miaocchi

The RISE Mascara model talks beauty, people-watching, and her Milk Makeup faves.

Bianca Miaocchi Bianca Miaocchi

At Milk Makeup, we believe it’s not just how you create your look; it’s what you do in it that matters. That’s what our motto Live Your Look is all about. It means forgetting the rules. Having the freedom to show up as you every day, whether that’s with graphic liner or a glossed lip. Being seen and celebrated for living your truth. And there's no better way for us to show what that looks like than passing the mic to our Milk Fam.

In this series, we're opening it up to our community to share their inspirations, self-expression, beauty routines, and so much more. Get to know the faces behind our campaigns who are as inspiring off camera as they are on.
This week, we're getting to know
Bianca Maiocchi, who starred in our RISE Mascara campaign. Find out a little bit more about the model, who is starting a new journey in New York City

We first got familiar with Bianca on our RISE shoot. We wanted models who embodied the definition of the word, “rise.” Models with that seize-the-day mentality, ready to conquer every moment. As an Aires sun (with a Taurus moon and Libra rising,) Bianca perfectly fits that mentality.

Hailing from Los Angeles (though she recently made the switch to NYC), Bianca is the daughter of makeup artist Pati Dubroff. Even without her mother’s legacy, she still has made a splash in the modeling world. Let’s get to know her a bit better.

How would you describe your personal style?

There's two parts to me: either very big, baggy jeans and baggy shirts—very streetwear; or a skirt/dress, flowery fairy girl.

Where do you get your style inspiration from?

I love people-watching. If I see someone really owning what that they’re wearing, it inspires me to feel comfortable in what I wear. It’s not necessarily about the pieces they have on, but rather the emotion that they are owning while they wear it. That’s really important to me.

How would you describe your approach to beauty?

Very nothing! I am not really a makeup girl, but when I do wear some, it’s a little bit of blush and a really light lippy thing, just to give a pop from day to night.

What lip color is your usual jam?

A pinky-reddish hue, but a little bit more on the berry side. Pinky berryish; just a little something.

If you could only use one Milk Makeup product for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Lip + Cheek in Quirk.

What album or song is currently on repeat for you?

Anything Erykah Badu. She is my queen all the time.

What beauty product would you bring with you to a desert island?

I would say the Hydro Grip Set + Refresh Spray. I feel like I would need [it]—It’s too hot, I wouldn’t wear makeup, I’d need to refresh [my skin].

What does an ideal day look like to you?

Wake up, get myself a bagel, sit in a park and read for a few hours, then meet up with some friends to figure out what to do for the rest of the night. Me time, then friend time.

What’s your favorite hobby these days?

I haven’t really had time for hobbies since I’ve moved to New York quite honestly. I am juggling school,  work, and a social life. But I would say reading always grounds me, as does sitting in a park—those are my hobbies.

Is there a certain book you’re loving right now?

I’m bouncing in between a bunch right now. I am in the middle of Women Who Run with Wolves, which I highly highly recommend. It’s so beautiful.

When did you move to New York?

About a month ago—very recently. I was in LA before.

What is the best advice you’ve gotten from your mom?

Probably not to change my face with makeup but rather enhance different parts of it. That was her message to me growing up. Figure out what part of your face you want to enhance and add some color or highlight to that part so people can see it more. Don’t hide anything!

What did you think of the immediate results of trying our RISE mascara?

Oh, it’s actually insane. I would use it every single day, and I am not a makeup person, as I said before. Seeing the photos, it's actually crazy how long my lashes look. I didn’t know that that’s what they looked like at all! It opens up my eyes without looking like I am wearing so much makeup.

When would you wear RISE mascara?

To an everyday thing—definitely not to 8 AM classes because I am definitely in pajamas for those. I would throw it on to meet friends or go out; any occasion where I have to see people, absolutely.

What would you pair it with?

I would do the mascara and then the Lip + Cheek. I would do a little cheek and a little lip and a little bit of highlighter to give me a little finish. I never really wear “skin” makeup.
